The Writing Center hires students to fill part-time Writing Consultant positions. We anticipate the next recruitment cycle will begin at the end of Fall Term 2026.

Within their role, Writing Consultants work with OSU community writers (primarily undergraduate students) in the Writing Studio in the Valley Library and through our online modalities to advance their writing projects and writing goals. Part of the consultant's employment experience is participation in initial training and ongoing professional development designed to increase their ability to effectively support student writers.
